the most extensive A.W.K. discography on the web
The Present | The Past

Navigation notes: The way this is all sorted is as follows: this page is and will be everything from 1999 to the present and "The Past" contains 1998 and earlier. The miscellaneous pile on this page is reserved for recent events that I didn't think were important enough to include in the general discography; on the 'past' page, though, the pile is where I list anything I don't have any information for. So enjoy and if you find any mistakes, don't hesitate to e-mail either Holly or myself. Many of these recordings can be purchased through various distributors and/or eBay, and most if not all of the early recordings are available for download at AWKshare.com.

The Wolf

Universal/Mercury (Japan): September 02, 2003
Universal/Island Def Jam: September 09, 2003

tracks:
01. Victory Strikes Again
02. Long Live The Party
03. Tear It Up
04. Free Jumps (version 03)
05. Never Let Down
06. Your Rules (version 02)
07. The Song
08. Make Sex (version 03)
09. Totally Stupid
10. Really In Love
11. The End Of Our Lives
12. I Love Music

The Japanese import has live versions of Party Hard and She Is Beautiful.

Tear It Up

Universal/Island Def Jam: July 15, 2003

tracks:
01. Tear It Up
02. Your Rules

This has two songs from The Wolf on it: Your Rules, and, of course, Tear It Up. A second disc includes DVD footage of behind-the-scenes antics, and all three of the videos from the IGW era. If you get a chance to watch the vids on DVD on a big-ass tv, totally do it, because the clarity is just breathtaking. Somewhat related to this are the two promo cds that're pretty hard to find (except on eBay) containing Tear It Up, Your Rules, and the first radio single from The Wolf, Never Let Down.

I Get Wet

Universal/Mercury: November 13, 2001
Universal/Island Def Jam: March 26, 2002

tracks:
01. It's Time To Party
02. Party Hard
03. Girls Own Love
04. Ready To Die
05. Take It Off
06. I Love NYC
07. She Is Beautiful
08. Party Til You Puke (Version 02)
09. Fun Night
10. Got To Do It
11. I Get Wet
12. Don't Stop Living In the Red

I do believe the Japanese release has Make Sex (version 02) and We Want Fun as bonus tracks. It also has the lyrics, where the US and UK releases do not. Apparently, the Mercury release has a parental advisory label on it because of the F-bomb in Fun Night. Andrew has also threatened to rerelease this with "13 tracks"-- jumping from 11 to 13.

Party Hard/She Is Beautiful/We Want Fun

Universal/Mercury: January 2002/February 2002
Universal/Island Def Jam: April 2003

All three of these are "enhanced" CDs (with the videos). Extra tracks appear on the singles: the AWKGOJ version of Violent Life and Make Sex (version 02) on Party Hard and the AWKGOJ versions of We Want Fun and A.W.K. on She Is Beautiful. The WWF cd, along with A.W.K. as a bonus track, has two versions of the song on the cd, with one listed as the "album" version and the other the "promo edit".

Party Til You Puke

12" EP - Bulb: ?, 2000

tracks: 01. Party Til You Puke (version 01)
02. Party Til You Puke (remix)
03. Party Til You Puke (Shout Out Mix)
04. Old Man (Couch cover)
05. Dance Party (Anti Never Ending Music Mix)
06. I Want To Kill (Build It Up Mix)

Of the most recent out-of-print recordings, this is the second most requested and the second hardest to find. All of the songs are electronically-based (as opposed to guitar-based) and the first three are early techno dance mixes of Party Til You Puke. The track Dance Party recently made an appearance on the wolf in a slightly different form as Long Live the Party, but it certainly manages to stand on its own as a great song here, too. PS: I Want To Kill rules your face more than you could ever possibly imagine.

AWKGOJ - Girls Own Juice

CD EP - Bulb: October 12 (?), 2000

tracks:
01. Girls Own Juice
02. Don't Ever Stop The Noise
03. We Want Fun (version 01)
04. Music Or Die
05. Make Sex (version 01)
06. Hidden track: A.W.K. (I'm not spoiling it for you, trust me)

Girls Own Juice is the lush framework for IGW's Girls Own Love; the original We Want Fun, the original Make Sex, and A.W.K. were all included as b-sides on the IGW singles; and Don't Ever Stop The Noise was rerecorded as The Song on The Wolf. Some neat trivia: Andrew painted the cover art himself. The jacket contains the voice mail phone number 212.714.4646, a number that will sound familiar to many of you (it's the number on the 'you can't stop what you can't end' concert t-shirt).

Wolf Eyes/Andrew W.K.

split 12" - Bulb: 2000

tracks:
01. Wolf Eyes - Fortune Dove
02. Wolf Eyes - Skull & Bone
03. Wolf Eyes - My Recipe Is Lust
04. Andrew W.K. - Wolf Eyes Rules (What Kinda Band?)

For those of you unfortunate enough to not have the split, it's got a basic black jacket. My particular copy has the side labels on the opposite sides. It also comes with a lyric insert for Wolf Eyes Rules (What Kinda Band?), which is an electronic rap-rock blend. Also one of the funniest songs in the repertoire.

Mr. Velocity Hopkins - "s/t" [In Space(?)]

CD - Bulb/Insignificant: 1999

tracks:
01. Kill Everyone Now
02. Back To the Canyon
03. Systematic Death
04. The Smell of the Pelican
05. Immortal
06. Sad Wings of Destiny
07. Exacerbate Yourself
08. Two Heads, One Door
09. Bricklicker
10. Jet Velocity!
11. Rooting Beans Makes A Meal
12. X Japan
13. Get Out
14. Action Camera
15. Magas Refusal
16. Kings Of Brazil
17. Anonymous
18. 22 Golden Hits
19. Triumph
20. Cake Is Love
21. Ultrastupid

Andrew drums on this thrash-jazz fast-paced noise album.

Soundtracks:

Andrew W.K. appears on 3 motion picture soundtracks: Jackass: The Movie", (featuring the "new" version of "We Want Fun." This track also had a video featuring the Jackass crew); Freaky Friday ("She Is Beatiful"); and Out Cold ("She Is Beautiful"). Andrew also appears (as himself) in the horror film Punk Rock Holocaust filmed primarily at Vans Warped Tour 2003.

Compilations:

Notable compilations include Ozzfest 2002 Live Album (Features "She Is Beautiful" with Kelly Osbourne); Take Action! Vol 4 (Andrew provides the spoken PSA intro); Mosh Pit On Disney (this includes the very rare "Mickey Mouse Club March" cover. Released only in Japan); Maxim Rocks! 2002; and "The Sound" CD Compilation.

Miscellaneous:

I've heard about a Fun Night single that includes (among other things) the second (?) version of Free Jumps, but I've only seen it sold at gemm.com and that was once and a few years ago, so if you've got any news on that, I'd appreciate it.

Where does this one fit? Not really here, but not really anywhere else... Andrew W.K. is a playable character in the video game Backyard Wrestling 2: There Goes The Neighborhood for XBOX and PS2.
